      Two and a Half Men is a series of American television comedy. Its plot was until then the main character Charlie Harper, a well-off bachelor living in a house on the beach, have a nice car in the garage and an easy way with women. Your casual lifestyle in Malibu is interrupted when his brother Alan, who is in the midst of a divorce, and ten years of his nephew, Jake, come to stay with him. In Brazil it is displayed by the Warner Channel and SBT.

GLEE

Glee, a musical television series, comedy-drama, by FOX, in the United States.

The series focuses on the Glee Club, the choir school, called "New Directions" that the Spanish teacher, Schuester Will (Matthew Morrison) and reactivate. Being a former member of the group, he proposes to organize the choir to go to competitions coirs circuit, however, the cheerleader coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) makes everything so that this is not done, so as wiil not get more funds for the group, since all that had already been removed. The guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) Will help to rebuild the group, like so many things happen during the episodes.Sue can break the guy, but Will also have the chance. What will happen? What do members do? What will the competition circuit? Besides all that Will is in the choir, goes through various family problems too, like several other team members. An unwanted pregnancy, along with a betrayal is not pleasant, is not it? 

The series created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan as a main idea movie, went on television to be broadcast from May 19, 2009. And "that good" that became the series, because it would have been nominated for nineteen Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, six Satellite Awards, five Golden Globes, among several others all had not worked out? 
Well, what can be said is that Glee is all good! "Spend" few minutes of your time, and soon they will become many, it is addictive, and the songs are all good! And now with the holidays coming up nothing better than watching a lot of series that are all good!

Gossip Girl

           Gossip Girl is an American teen drama series based on the book series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. The series was created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and premiered on The CW on September 19, 2007. Narrated by the omniscient yet unseen blogger "Gossip Girl", voiced by Kristen Bell, the series revolves around the lives of privileged young adults on Manhattan's Upper East Side in New York City.

The series begins with the return of Upper East Side "It" girl, Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) from a mysterious stay at a boarding school in Cornwall, Connecticut. Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), whom creators describe as the queen at the center of their chess game, is a longtime friend and occasional rival of Serena's, and the Queen B of Constance Billard School's social scene. The story also follows Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), the bad boy of the Upper East Side; "Golden boy" Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), Chuck's best friend and Blair's ex; and other characters of the turbulent Manhattan scene: Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), Nate's friend and Serena's on-again, off-again ex; Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szohr), Dan's best friend; and Dan's sister, Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen).

On April 26, 2011, The CW renewed Gossip Girl for a fifth season beginning fall 2011.

The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries is an American television series developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, based on the book series of the same name written by L. J. Smith. The series premiered on The CW Television Network on September 10, 2009, and has currently finished its second season on May 12, 2011. The series follows the events in the town of Mystic Falls, Virginia, a fictional small town haunted by supernatural beings. The main focus of the series is the love triangle between the female protagonist Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) and Stefan and Damon with dark pasts. Later the light is thrown on the mysterious past of the town involving Elena's malevolent doppelgänger Katherine who seeks revenge against the town, Stefan, Damon, and Elena.

   

The pilot episode attracted the largest audience of any series premiere since the network began in 2006. The first season averaged 3.60 million viewers. The show initially received average reviews, but critics agreed that the series improved over the course of the season; the second season premiered to generally favorable reviews. The show has received numerous award nominations, winning a People's Choice Award and seven Teen Choice Awards. On April 26, 2011, The CW renewed the series for a third season, set to begin on September 15, 2011.

CSI - Crime Scene Investigation

CSI - Crime Scene Investigation is a popular American drama series shown by CBS. The series is centered on the group's investigations of forensic scientists from the forensic department of the police in Las Vegas, Nevada. These scientists uncover crimes and deaths in mysterious circumstances and unusual. The series, created by Anthony E. Zuiker, debuted in October 2000 in the U.S. (in April 2001 in Brazil). We created two spin-offs of the series: CSI: Miami and CSI: NY. The opening of the season was the tenth most expensive in television history, costing about $ 400,000. Actor William Petersen, who played the character Gil Grissom in the series, earned a million dollars per episode, and actress Marg Helgenberger, who plays Catherine Willows, about $ 780,000. On May 18, 2011 CBS renewed the series for a new season, the 12th season is scheduled to debut in September 2011 and its completion in May 2012.

COMO APRENDER INGLÊS COM AS SÉRIES DE TV

As séries de TV podem ser um ótimo instrumento para aprender inglês. Basta escolher uma série que você gosta que a aprendizagem passa a ser divertida. O que antes representava um “descanso mental”, pode se tornar uma forma de estudo. A seguir uma breve sistematização para um melhor desempenho:

1. Escolha – Decida com calma qual série você vai escolher. Essa etapa é muito importante para o êxito de todo o processo. Dê preferência àquelas que retratam situações cotidianas.
2. Com legendas em português – Assista aos episódios com legenda em português. Nessa etapa você pode relaxar e curtir o programa. Concentre-se, por enquanto, apenas no conteúdo. Na verdade, a despreocupação e o envolvimento com a trama vão ajudar nas etapas seguintes;
3. Sem legendas – “Volte a fita” e assista novamente, mas dessa vez sem legendas. Mesmo sem entender boa parte das falas, você vai se lembrar da essência da história. Daí a importância de escolher uma série de que você goste bastante, pois essa etapa depende do seu envolvimento com os personagens e a trama;
4. Com legendas em inglês – Assista pela terceira vez, mas com a legenda em inglês, lendo atentamente, pausando se necessário, e anotando as expressões que não conhecer. O foco passa a ser exclusivamente o idioma, pois a essa altura você já decorou a história.
5. Manutenção – Assista, de preferência sem legendas, aos episódios de vez em quando para não deixar que o vocabulário aprendido caia no esquecimento.
